Finishing Is Part of Production (Not an Afterthought)

Finishing costs are real and they add up fast. Too many indie films make it through production only to stall in post because finishing wasn’t properly planned or budgeted.

From the start, you should be thinking about:

  • Post-production workflow

  • Color, sound, and delivery specs

  • VFX needs

  • Music licensing

  • Festival or platform technical requirements

If your film has a specific visual language, plan for it early. Schedule camera tests. Coordinate with HMU and wardrobe. Create LUTs ahead of time so everyone is working toward the same look. These steps save money, time, and creative frustration later.
