It is never a bad idea to run pipeline tests before you’re up against a hard deadline.
That includes:
Conform tests
VFX tests
Title tests
These tests reveal issues while there’s still time to fix them such as wrong color spaces, mismatched frame rates, missing handles, title safe problems. Finding those problems early is exponentially cheaper than discovering them the week before delivery.
